The correlation between church attendance and support for torture is the same correlation between church attendance and likelihood to vote Republican. I think what this poll shows is that Republicans are more likely to support torture, and its just a coincidence that these Republicans happen to go to church on Sunday. My prayer is that as a Body we would start to be guided by the Bible, not our own political ideologies, on important issues such as torture.
