It’s been about a year and a half since I made this list…I thought I would make an update about what I’ve actually been able to read from the list. Here are the books that I’ve since read from this list:

The Pilgrim’s Regress – LewisBooks
Freakonomics – Levitt and Dubner
A Short History of Nearly Everything – Bryson
The Tipping Point – Gladwell
The Road – McCarthy
Life of Pi – Martel
The Plot Against America – Roth
Children of Men – James

And currently I’m reading:

Traveling Mercies – Anne Lamott

So, yeah, I surprised myself. I’m happy with the number of books from the list that I’ve actually gotten to. I’ve read other books too so I’d say so far, so good!

This is the old “Announcers Test” developed back in the early days of radio broadcasting in the 1940′s. Sorry, but you and your friends did not just make this up while canoeing.

Also, several verses are incorrect. This is a fun memory test though and a great family game to try around the dinner table!

You need to read a book by Jonathan Kozol, any of them are good, Savage Inequalities or Amazing Grace are a little outdated but the facts continue (they’re about education)
